New York, NY (PRWEB) October 8, 2009 -- iL Ferra Clothing Co., a unique skateboard clothing (http://www.ilferraclothing.com/) and apparel company, announced their innovative skateboarding Web site that incorporates their fans is now available to the general public.
Developed by two Hofstra University students, Anthony Ferrara and Ed Gillis, when they were just 18 years old, iL Ferra Clothing Co. is designed and modeled exclusively by the Web site's followers. Ferrara and Gillis allow their fans to send in designs to create new iL Ferra shirts, hats and skateboards, and have their fans to model their clothing on ilferraclothing.com.
"We've always been big fans of skateboard clothing (http://www.ilferraclothing.com/category_s/39.htm) companies and always thought of how cool it would be to come up with our own design for a big company like that. So, we decided to create our own skateboard clothing and apparel company that allowed people like us to be an active part of a company," Gillis said. "There's always an opportunity for our fans - whether you want to design one of our shirts or model one - to be an active part of iL Ferra Clothing Co.!"
Allowing fans to submit, design and model apparel is certainly unique, but what makes iL Ferra Clothing Co. truly special is the determination and hard work that Ferrara and Gillis put forth to bring the company to fruition.
"Starting our own company is the best experience we've ever had," said Ferrara. "It involved being turned down, a lot when we first started. We can't even count the number of times stores and companies ignored, denied or looked at us like we were just kids who didn't know what we were doing. But, the best part about it is it fueled us to succeed even more, because for every person that denied us was one more person to prove wrong."
When asked what the future holds in store for the skateboarding Web site (http://www.ilferraclothing.com/), Ferrara and Gillis said they will continue to come out with new shirts, hats and skateboards, because their fans will always be there for them. To thank the fans, designers receive a $100 bonus plus their product that they design and new pictures are posted every week of fans wearing the clothing.
Ferrara said: "We can't tell you how much we love when fans submit their own iL Ferra designs or pictures wearing iL Ferra Clothing to us. It means a lot to us when we see fans becoming actively involved in our company!"
They urge anyone interested to send their skateboard clothing designs and pictures to send them to info (at) ilferraclothing (dot) com or visit the skateboarding Web site www.ilferraclothing.com
